AFRICA DAY 2012!

For someone who has never planned an event before I bow down to my Cameroonian brother Solomon Atah.
As we all celebrated Africa day on the 25th of May,I was the master of ceremony at the Cameroon Land of Promise event which was themed "Forever Cameroon".

The event celebrated the beauty of African arts at the Protea hotel Victoria Junction in Greenpoint,Cape Town.

The idea and concept was great although the people involved in the event were not properly informed. As the host of the event I did not have the program and I had to make lemonade out of the lemons that I was given. The responsibility does not only lie with the event organiser though ,as a mc,performer ,caterer etc,for any event it is also your duty to find out what your role and responsibility on the day of the event is in order to guarantee yourself doing your best.

The guests seemed to enjoy themselves that evening and we were all united, there was no South African,Cameroonian or Malawian, etc, we were all Africans.

For more info of the event you can check out Cameroon Land of Promise on Facebook.
